ESCMID Global 2026

We look back to five brilliant days of ESCMID Global 2026. Overall, a great congress experience with vibrant atmosphere and loads of input. What was most important to us: the brand coming to life and science communication being relentlessly pushed to an ever higher level.

We joined the preparations some eight months ago and supported the ESCMID team in several workstreams – from online marketing in the run-up to on-site recordings, from signage to merchandise, from ceremonial videos to photographer supervision, from data visualisation to sound design.

The congress programme was the most comprehensive ever with more than 9000 submitted abstracts, some 6000 scientific posters, over 800 invited speakers and chairs, over 200 industry partners, and over 17000 congress participants from 158 countries.

It was impressive to see how new AI services were integrated to build more interesting sessions out of thousands of abstracts, to reduce the number of agenda conflicts for participants, and to better navigate the complex programme with 16 session halls, 4 arenas, 2 mobile labs, and one pipeline theatre operating in parallel. A beautiful example was the new MCP connector that allowed you to talk to the programme through your personal AI app in a conversational way and which produced much more detailed and tailored answers than any traditional display could provide.
