Focus Open Award for the Rebranding of PSI

PSI’s new dynamic brand identity was awarded the “Focus Open 2025” international design prize.

The renowned Design Center Baden-Württemberg regularly awards prizes for innovative concepts, products, and services of high design quality. This year, the dynamic rebranding of the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) won over the expert jury and received one of the coveted prizes.

In 2024, Switzerland’s largest research institute launched a contemporary brand identity that conveys top-tier international research while enabling efficient communication in the digital age. At its core is a dynamic logo that continuously evolves from tiny particles. Scholtysik was responsible for brand strategy, UX concept, design, and implementation – spanning web, video, signage and events.
