New private banking magazine for Basler Kantonalbank

Scholtysik

Basler Kantonalbank (BKB) is launching a new magazine for its private banking clients. Scholtysik is responsible for the editorial design, while sda-awp multimedia handles the editorial concept and content. The print publication brings together financial topics, wider societal issues, personal stories and perspectives from Basel.

Published twice a year, the 40-page magazine looks beyond figures and financial markets. "nuance" explores the intersection of finance and everyday life, featuring people and stories from the Basel region. The first issue, published on 12 October 2026, focuses on happiness: behavioural economist Reto Odermatt explores the link between consumption and life satisfaction, US stock market correspondent Jens Korte discusses a changing America, and acclaimed chef Tanja Grandits talks about her new culinary venture on the banks of the Rhine.

From brand strategy to magazine

Scholtysik has been shaping Basler Kantonalbank’s brand strategy and visual identity for over a decade. Last year, Scholtysik refreshed BKB’s brand identity and raised the profile of its private banking services. With "nuance", this new direction now takes shape as a magazine with an identity of its own.
